  • Where can I travel with Scripps Aviation?

    Scripps Aviation has FAA 135 certification to fly throughout North America, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Our national affiliate network is comprised of hundreds of aircraft, enabling us to provide service virtually anywhere, anytime, in any type of aircraft.

  • Is chartering a private jet expensive?

    • NO! With Scripps Aviation you can wake up in Los Angeles, take in a morning meeting in Las Vegas, an afternoon meeting in Phoenix, and meet clients for dinner in San Diego. This just is not possible on any commercial airline. Take along a half dozen of your top associates so you can work out details about the next meeting in transit.
    • In a world where time is money and business relationships matter, every wasted moment, every missed conversation is a lost opportunity. When you fly where you want, when you want, it is hard to imagine a more productive use of your money!
  • Is flying on a luxury charter as safe as flying commercial?

    • How many times have your commercial flights been delayed or canceled due to maintenance issues.
    • At Scripps Aviation, your safety is always our priority. The jets operated by Scripps Aviation operate under the same FAA safety regulations as commercial aircraft, and are just as stringently maintained. In addition, because Scripps aircraft typically fly less hours per day than any commercial planes, it allows us to maintain our aircraft more often than commercial aircraft.
  • How far in advance do I need to book my flight?

    In most cases, we can lift you off the ground in as little as two hours. With our Flight Portal on-line reservation system you can make special requests to assure that everything will be waiting for you as you wish, when you arrive.

  • How do I make a reservation?

  • What hours do you operate?

    We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

  • What will happen on the day of my flight?

    • Should you wish, we can arrange a car to take you directly to your plane.
    • If you prefer to drive your own car, you are welcome to pull right up to the aircraft. We will unload your luggage for you and load it into the aircraft for you. Board the aircraft when you are ready! We will have you airborne and on your way within minutes.
    • While you travel, Scripps Aviation will provide safe, secure parking for your vehicle and have it waiting at the aircraft when you arrive.
  • Are meals served on the flight?

    Our aircraft are stocked with complimentary snacks and beverages. We can also arrange for catered meals to be served on board to you and your guests. Please give us a days notice if you desire a catered meal during your flight.

  • Can I bring my pet with me?

    We love pets and welcome them on our aircraft. Well-behaved dogs may be allowed to range the cabin off leash in the cabin just as if they were at home. We can provide a comfy blanket for them to sleep on, water and special treats. Other pets may be transported on a case-by-case basis. With Scripps Aviation, you’ll furry friend will fly as comfortable as you.

  • What documents will I need to fly internationally?

    Flying domestically on a jet charter imposes few of the restrictions of flying commercially. No TSA security checkpoints to pass through. No identity or baggage checks. If you fly internationally you will need an up to date passport. Children under the age of 18 flying outside of the United States must be either be accompanied by both guardians or must carry notarized permission to fly signed by both parents.

  • What is FET tax?

    Federal Excise Tax is 7.5% of the total flight charges. This fee is collected by all charter and fractional operators.

  • What discounts do you offer if I am a frequent flyer

    • Reduced rates are available for frequent flyers.
    • People with more flexible schedules can also look into booking a flight on an empty-leg return flight.

  • I own my own aircraft but would like to offset my expenses. Can you charter my aircraft when I’m not using it?
